Hirschhof Riesling Spätlese 2015. 12 % Vol., 0,75 l bottle organic
The winery is located in Rheinhessen, between Worms, Mainz and Alzey in the middle of one of the oldest wine-growing regions in Germany, in the idyllic wine village Westhofen. The origins of the Hirschhof go back to the year 1466. The family ancestor Michel then rescued his sovereign from an attacking deer and received the lands, the coat of arms and the name Hirsch. The property has been owned over the centuries, the surname changed from Hirsch to Zimmer due to marriage. A long tradition of connection with nature, land and people accompanies them in their work - and of course the love of wine in the best locations of Westhofen.
