Palmer Champagne, Brut Reserve
The Palmer champagne house is legally a cooperative that processes grapes of over 350 hectares and whose property is distributed to over 190 families. The house was founded in 1947 with just 7 winegrowers delivering it. The proportion of particularly good vineyards, which are referred to here as Grand and Premier Cru, is exceptionally high, and the proportion of Pinot Meunier grapes is quite small. With over 90%, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are used for champagne production. This cuvée was created from wines from Premier Cru and Grand Cru of the "Montagne de Reims". The share of reserve wines is at least 35%. The high percentage of Chardonnay (at least 50%) ensures the incomparable finesse of this champagne, to which the four-year maturation period on the yeast also contributes.
