2013 Forster Jesuitengarten Riesling Beerenauslese

The 2013 Jesuitengarten Beerenauslese (translated = “selected raisin” = noble sweet wine like “icewine”) is one of the top, noble sweet wines of the vintage. The nose is concentrated and rich. Peach and apricot with a hint of acacia honey characterize the scent. Very lush and exotic. The exotic nuances of apricot and peach are flavours, confirmed on the palate. Fine pineapple. Good minerality is evident and gives the wine bite, length and character. The appealing acidity makes the wine delicate and stimulating. It also ensures stability and the shelf life of this wine. A wine ready to drink, but yet with great, very long aging potential.
