Tenuta il Poggione Rosato Lo Sbrancato IGT
The Lo Sbrancato is our rosé from Tuscany. Made from grapes from the young vineyards of the cult Tenuta Il Poggione in Montalcino. The first vintage was ennobled by Robert Parker with 90 points and the other vintages also impress with their very aromatic, juicy and clear nature. The grapes come from the younger, up to 10-year-old vines, which are at a height of 200 to 400 m are planted above sea level. After fermentation, the young wine matures in large wooden barrels for six months.
Winery
The Tenuta il Poggione is not “just” a winery, it is a commitment and a piece of agricultural history in the best sense. Here tradition is really lived and brought into line with new technology. The property comprises a total of 520 ha of land. 120 hectares are vineyards, 83 hectares are olive groves, and the rest of the country are forests and pastures for the cattle breeding. Fabrizio Bindocci is the proud and dedicated estate manager - his fathers and grandfathers held this position before him - who, in the fifth generation, is an excellent manager of the estate's fortunes. Meanwhile, his son is also working on the estate and is preparing to follow in his father's great footsteps. Bindocci knows how to use traditional techniques to produce traditional wines that are completely committed to their origin,
Wine growing region
Tuscany is certainly one of the best known and best wine growing regions in Italy. In the hilly landscape around the capital of the region, Florence, the Sangiovese grape is particularly at home, which defines the character of the world-famous wines from Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. The constant change of vineyards, olive groves and vineyards, together with a bevy of picturesque medieval towns such as San Gimignano or Volterra, make the region so attractive.
