Eucalyptus Essential Oil, Therapeutical Grade

Blends well with: Herbs like thyme, marjoram, rosemary, and lavender, cedar wood, lemon, Melissa, frankincense, pine and others; eucalyptus is a very dominant aroma that never takes the “back seat” in a blend.
External Application:
As a massage oil (10 drops of eucalyptus oil mixed with 10ml of vegetable oil) for the treatment of: Migraine (massage the temples), rheumatism, neuralgia (stabbing pain from damaged nerve), slow-healing wounds, muscle pain,small burns (dab the burns twice daily), cold sores (dab them three times daily with ear-buds; best in combination with Melissa), impure skin (acne), works well in shampoos for dandruff, good deodorant, insect bites
For treating bronchial problems, it is used as an inhalant (add 2-5 drops of eucalyptus oil to 1 litre of hot water) or gargle; especially effective if used in combination with niaouli, pine, hyssop or thyme.
Against colds and sore throats (clears the respiratory tracts, prevents the spreading of viruses) against coughs and bronchitis.
In the sauna: mix 15 drops of eucalyptus oil with 20ml of spirits.
As a mosquito-repellent: put three drops of eucalyptus oil onto your pillow (or next to it, on a piece of tissue, e.g.).
Internal Application:
Add 2-3 drops of eucalyptus oil to a teaspoon of honey or to hot herbal tea (not too hot, otherwise the oil will evaporate). This has a antiseptic, diuretic (expelling of urine), expectorant and cough-relieving effect. It lowers temperatures and is used as a cure against angina, sinusitis, intestinal parasites, tuberculosis and urethritis. Lowers blood sugar levels (like coriander, fennel, geranium and juniper). Acts as an antibacterial agent for kidney and bladder infections.
In the Diffuser:
Eucalyptus oil stimulates your ability to concentrate and think logically. Increases oxygen supply of body cells by activating red blood cell functioning (oxygen bonding in the lungs). It purifies the air and prevents the spreading of germs (powerful germicidal properties: as little as a 2% mixture in a vaporizer will eliminate 70% staphylococcus bacteria in a room. Repels insects.
Eucalyptus citriodora: high content of citronellal, therefore is a very effective anti-inflammatory for arthritis, especially when used in combination with helichrysum italicum. Also relieves muscular tensions. Its sedative properties make it useful for the treatment of sleeplessness. Great oil for children!
