Geranium Essential Oil, Therapeutical Grade

Fragrance: Fresh, sweet, resinous, lemony, herbaceous notes

Perfumery Note: Middle

Blends well with: Most everything! Clary sage, lavender, rose, chamomile, rosemary, basil, thyme, cedar wood, spices like clove or cardamom, bergamot, carrot seed, jasmine and many more.

External Application: 

Mixed with vegetable oil (5 drops of geranium oil to 10ml of vegetable oil) for the treatment of burns and scars (apply oil to a cotton wool wad and dab the wound twice daily). Use blended with rose, chamomile blue, eczema and impure skin as a body oil, cold sores (dab the affected areas), skin suffering from parasites (geranium has particularly good anti-fungal properties) in case of varicose veins massage is not advised, but the gentle application of equal parts of geranium and cypress diluted in base oil may be very helpful.

Geranium oil relieves congestion, especially for the breast tissue, improves circulation, is excellent for stimulating and cleansing the lymphatic system, promotes a healthy immune system, is helpful for detoxification, overcoming addiction, constipation, phlebitis, hemorrhoids, fluid retention and indigestion.

Application in Cosmetics:

Suitable for the daily care of greasy, impure and irritated skin. The effect is antiseptic, stimulating and regenerative. Geranium oil is also used for the treatment of cellulite on account of its dehydrating and astringent properties.

Geranium oil works profoundly on the emotions and is useful in many medical conditions. Geranium will make chilblains disappear overnight and brings a radiant glow when used in skin care. More importantly, it is a vital component in the treatment of endometriosis, is very effective for menopausal problems, diabetes, blood disorders, throat infections and as a nerve tonic (works well as a sedative). It is reputed to help in cases of uterine and breast cancer. It has many applications from frostbite to infertility, and its antiseptic and astringent properties contribute to its general usefulness.”

Geranium oil is a first-aid oil every woman should consider having on hand. Its tonic action helps relieve nervous emotional conditions like anxiety, confusion, depression, lethargy, energy and mood swings and tearfulness.

Internal Application: 

2 drops of geranium oil added to a teaspoon of honey or some herbal tea: used for the treatment of gastro enteric inflammations, of diabetes and of nervous tension. The effect is soothing and haemostatic.

In the Diffuser: 

Creates a fresh and harmonic atmosphere, helps with communication problems, relaxes nervous tension, helps with depression, major oil to restore autonomic nervous system balance, which in turn helps to counter female hormonal imbalances.
