External Application:
This oil will help acne, blemishes and bruises. It may, in some cases, aid in reducing or alleviating the scaling of psoriasis. It is often helpful with allergies, because it apparently adjusts the mind into tolerance of the psychological component. Its clearing effect can help one gain insight. It can be beneficial in meditation. It is helpful with addictions and other dependency problems.

The Oil: Myrtle is sometimes called Corsican pepper. The oil seems to have a pronounced clearing effect. This makes it especially useful with pulmonary disorders and night sweats. It promotes restful sleep due to its sedative action. It resembles sage and eucalyptus in some aspects, but is more sedative while eucalyptus is more stimulating. It is helpful in fighting excessive moisture, bronchial catarrh and clearing sinusitis. It will help keep infections down.
Internal Application:
Myrtle has a regulating effect on the genito-urinary system and helps hemorrhoids, diarrhea and dysentery. It may prove useful and effective with cystitis and uretritis. Take orally once a day, 2-3 drops, diluted in honey. It is said to be an effective tonic to the womb, it may halt leucorrhea and aid in loosening congestion of the pelvic organs. It has an antiseptic and astringent effect on congested skin.
