Notes of strawberriey, rhubarb, flint, and crushed rock. Full and fruity with lots of texture and subtleties.Beautifully balanced, elegant, spicy, earthy with silky smooth and fully integrated tannins and acidity.
We are fortunate that in our vineyards in the Recher Herrenberg there are still genuine Pinot Noir plants that were planted before 1940 and the beginning of the 1950s. These self-grown plants are of course not selected, are small and loose berries. We have been propagating this high-quality genetic material for several years and the vineyard in Ahrweiler Rosenthal has been planted with it. Since we only have one vineyard in Ahrweiler Rosenthal, the wine is limited.
